Grama Panchayat

In accordance with the final order issued by the Kerala Delimitation Commission regarding the ward division of Asamannoor Grama Panchayat, the panchayat has been divided into 15 constituencies (wards), and their boundaries have been finalized. This final decision was reached after examining complaints and opinions received from the public regarding previously published draft proposals, hearing the concerned parties, and duly considering their views. Under this new arrangement—implemented to enhance administrative efficiency and extend development activities to a wider section of the population—the 15 wards of the Grama Panchayat and their respective population figures are as follows:

The new administrative structure, comprising 15 wards formed through the division of the previous 14 wards, has been implemented. This will facilitate the smoother conduct of the panchayat's day-to-day operations and its participatory planning initiatives.

Established in 1953, the Ashamannoor Grama Panchayat spans an area of ​​21.57 sq. km, and its population statistics based on the 2001 census are as follows:

The boundaries of the Grama Panchayat are as follows:

• North - Vengoor Grama Panchayat

• East - Nellikuzhi and Kottapadi Grama Panchayats

• South - Paipra Grama Panchayat

• West - Rayamangalam Grama Panchayat

Asamannoor is the revenue village of the Ashamannoor Grama Panchayat, which falls under the Perumbavoor Assembly constituency and the Chalakudy Parliamentary constituency.
