Disaster Management Plan
The Disaster Management Plan is a comprehensive document designed to effectively tackle potential natural disasters and other emergencies—such as floods, storms, droughts, and epidemics—in the Ashamannoor Grama Panchayat and to minimize their impact. The plan includes identifying high-risk areas in advance, documenting details of infrastructure (such as safe buildings, hospitals, and vehicles) that can serve as relief camps, and assigning specific responsibilities to volunteers (task forces) and officials for rescue operations. In essence, it is a crucial preparedness document that equips the Grama Panchayat to issue timely warnings during emergencies and coordinate rescue operations, thereby ensuring the protection of lives and property.
