Grama Panchayat

Asamannoor Grama Panchayat has achieved great success in the 'T.B. Mukta Panchayat' project implemented by the central and state governments as part of the National Tuberculosis Control Program. The 'Silver' award was received by the Grama Panchayat office bearers and health workers based on the best prevention and awareness activities in 2025.

The award was presented by the Hon'ble Minister for Health and Devaswom Department K. Muraleedharan at a function held at the National Health Mission District Headquarters on August 01, 2026. Grama Panchayat President Shri N. M. Saleem, Family Health Center Medical Officer Dr. Sheenamol, Health Education Standing Committee Chairman Shri Sanosh C. Mathai, Health Inspector, public representatives, health workers and ASHA workers received the award from the Minister.

The coordinated work done by the Panchayat in diagnosing the disease and ensuring proper care and monitoring of patients made it worthy of this recognition. "This recognition is the result of the collective efforts of the people's representatives in the Gram Panchayat, health workers, ASHA workers, other officials, and the general public.
